School board members are volunteers serving as advocates striving for quality
education opportunities for every student. The members of our board take on this
responsibility not for a paycheck, but for their commitment to our community and its
children.
Today, November 15, is about saying Thank You to the Harmony Emge School District 175 School Board. Our board members spend multiple hours each month on district work, attending meetings, and other responsibilities most will never hear or read about. This is time they could spend with their families and for themselves. I want to personally thank all seven members of the Harmony Emge School District. Board of Education for their service to the district and our students.

Dear Harmony 175 Families,
It is with a heavy heart to share the news of the passing of a former teacher, Mrs. Barb Knavel. Mrs. Knavel served in our district for 21 years as both a 1st and 4th grade teacher and is leaving a lasting impact on both students and colleagues alike.
During her time with us, Mrs. Knavel demonstrated not only her passion for teaching but also her kindness and compassion towards everyone around her. Her legacy will continue to live on through the countless students she taught and the positive influence she has had on our school community.
We will always remember her fondly and cherish the memories we shared together.

Today Coding Club moved in to Robotic Finches. We spent the opening learning about their basic functions; we added color lights, music notes, and even had races!
STEM club is at it again! We have built moveable snakes, Ferris wheels, ramps, and even coded a moveable crane!

PTO meeting tonight in Emge cafeteria at 6pm, see you there!

We are very proud of our Emge 8th grader Audrey Bauer, who was the Junior High winner of the City of Belleville Veterans Day poster contest. She received a Barnes and Noble gift card as a congratulatory award!💙
