Yesterday was the last day for our Ellis Roadrunner Run Club. This group of students worked very hard this season and learned a lot about perseverance. Students learned what they are capable of when they keep on going. It was a great 1st season!

Happy Earth Day from Mrs. Barbeau’s kindergarten class! We celebrated yesterday by talking about ways to keep our planet healthy and by predicting and experimenting with what would happen in an oil spill. Last Friday, we planted a lawn village and watched our grass grow. We topped off the day with an Earthy treat and had dirt cups. We are officially planet protectors!🌎

Today in Kindergarten,. Mrs. Barbeau's Class celebrated Peeps! 🐥
They built them a home, predicted if they would sink or float and tasted each flavor (color) of peeps and came up with adjectives to describe them. They certainly “peeped” the day!

Today, Officer Mayer visited our Ellis students to talk about the importance of school safety. Students learned about the message “If you see something, say something,” and how speaking up can help keep everyone safe.

We had a great time at our Families Assembly yesterday!

We celebrated our Perseverance Award winners, Cooperation presented by Mrs. Jarvis, and our 8th graders wrapped up the event with a fun Staff vs. Students volleyball game. 🏐

After a hard-fought match, the staff came out on top! Great job to everyone who participated and helped make the assembly such a fun and positive experience for our school community! 👏
