We are inviting our Ellis students and their families to participate in a fall reading challenge! For the month of October, take time to complete the Fall into Reading bingo card. Color in the squares as each activity is completed. Once a bingo is achieved, turn your bingo card into the Ellis library for a brag tag! Feel free to take pictures of your student completing the activities and post them here! Have fun reading!!

Today Mrs Barbeau’s Kindergarten class celebrated all things apple! We tasted and graphed our favorite type of apple (Granny Smith was the winner), learned the life cycle of an apple, predicted if apples sink or float, and tasted all of the apple fixins’. It was “apple-solutely” awesome!

I just got a call from the high school that the games scheduled to be played on the turf have to be canceled. Since we no longer can play at the high school, we will be playing the games at our Stookey Fields again. Buses will pick Emge and Signal Hill students up and take to the Stookey Fields.

Just a reminder that the BB/SB games against West JH are going to be played on the Varsity fields at Belleville West High School tonight at 4:15pm. Good luck Eagles!

Due to a significant water main break at Ellis Elementary, we will need to close all schools in the Harmony- Emge School District 175 on Monday, September 15th. This will be counted as an emergency day, and there will be no school for students or staff.

We understand this may cause inconvenience, and we appreciate your understanding as we work to ensure the safety and well-being of our students and staff. Updates will be shared as soon as more information becomes available.

Band and Choir Rehearsals Begin This Week!

🎶 Choir rehearsals will begin Friday, September 12th at 7:00 AM.

GCS Stadium has informed us that they would like to move our game times up slightly. Please note the following update:

Baseball will now begin closer to 4:00–4:15 PM (instead of 4:30 PM).

Softball game time remains the same; they will begin warming up after the baseball game has finished.

Dear Parents and Guardians,

We’re excited to welcome students back for another great school year!

I am also pleased to share that lunch will once again be free for all students this year!

If your family needs to apply for free or reduced school fees, you will need to complete a paper application. These forms are not available online and must be picked up and submitted through the front offices.

To make this easier, there will also be a station set up at each school during Open House where you can complete the necessary paperwork.

Open House is Tuesday, August 12th, from 6:00–7:00 PM for both Harmony Intermediate and Emge Junior High.

This is a great opportunity to meet teachers, tour the school, and take care of any paperwork.
