Reminder, our sports awards night is this evening at 5:00 in the Emge Gym. We will recgonize all athletes that completed a full season. Athletes will received pins for each sport they played during the 2021-2022 school year. We will also recognize our 8th grade athletes, as well as, recognize our 8th grade award winners.

The 8th grade field trip to Camp Wartburg yesterday was a blast!




Come see Frozen Jr. at Emge Junior High and watch our talented Harmony and Emge students perform! There are two more performances - tonight, May 13th @ 7 PM (doors open at 6:30) and tomorrow, May 14th @ 2 PM (doors open at 1:30). Tickets are $8 for adults and $7 for students. We can't wait to see you there!

Mrs. Enyart's 8th Grade History classes celebrated passing both the United States and Illinois Constitution tests. We are so proud of their hard work!

7th and 8th Grade High Honor Students enjoyed a lunch yesterday at Golden Corral! Congratulations!!


Ms. Easton's class had tons of fun play syllable Jenga!




We would like to give big shout-out to Mrs. Phelps! She visited Mrs. Downard, Ms. Eckert, and Mrs. Steigerwald’s 7th grade ELA classes today. Students learned to code poems and explore elements like grammar, mood, and word choice. We had a blast!

Ms. Niehaus's 5th grade is taking advantage of the nice weather and cooking s’mores! The past week they have been studying solar energy to learn the different ways that sunlight can be used for energy. This was such a fun project! A big thank you to Papa John’s in Belleville for donating pizza boxes to our class!



Ms. Sparks's 5th grade class enjoyed making solar s'mores outside.


Congratulations to the Character Kids for the month of April. The word of the month was Cooperation and these students did a great job of showing it!




Students in Mrs. Jarvis's 7th and 8th grade math classes graphed frogs, flowers, and butterflies on coordinate planes which were then used to decorate the hallway! We’re hopping into spring (and soon, summer)!

The Harmony/Emge Spring Bookmark contest winners got creative and made bookmarks featuring positivity and encouraging others to read. Great job!!

Congratulations to 2022 Emge Junior High 8th grade valedictorians!

Last week Mrs. Jarvis’s PreAlgebra class held strong for over 13 minutes in “the floor is lava” practicing math fact fluency. Also, eighth grade students in Mrs. Steigerwald and Mrs. Jarvis’s classes wrote letters to future Emge Math students!



Mrs. Marsh and Mrs. Wottowa 6th graders enjoyed working on math skills by doing FACEing Math...Who can guess what they are drawing?
