This week our 6th grade Literacy Lab group read a story titled Delectable Insects. The book celebrates cultures who dine on insects and arthropods. We tested our bravery with cricket suckers! No worries, permission slips were filled out before suckers were eaten!

Our Varsity Girls' Basketball team will be competing in and hosting a night of the Hoops 4 Hope basketball tournament. All of the proceeds for the shirts and ribbons sold will go to Breast Cancer Research. Your shirt order would be greatly appreciated to the countless number of people that are currently battling, surviving, or beating this terrible disease. Here is the link to order the shirts. The link will expire Oct. 9th, in order for shirts to get processed and delivered before the tournament begins. https://www.storessimple.com/spectragraphics/groupproducts.php?prodgroup_id=19126&prodgroupbypass=true

Ms. Marsh's 6th grade class had a fun week of reviewing punctuation and capitalization. The students worked together to complete tasks on a game show. Their winning prize was a trip to RIO DE JANEIRO. They each got their own boarding pass and traveled to Brazil, where they had to complete a correctly written itinerary for each location they visited.
