The 6th grade reading group finished reading Harry Potter: The Sorcerers Stone. They celebrated with cookies and milk and great discussions about their novel. It’s a long book, but they showed perseverance and shined!!! Thanks Mrs. James for making reading so engaging!
Today, November 15, is School Board Members Day. Thank you to our board of education members who volunteer their time and service for the betterment of public education. School board members provide a local voice for community education decisions and serve an essential role in representative democracy as an elected member of a board of education.
The Second Graders at Ellis had so much learning all about bats on our official Bat Day! We transformed our classrooms into caves and dove straight into a fun learning day! We had bat sounds going, pretend bats in our rooms and finger flashlights for the day! We read all about bats, watched different videos, played an echolocation game, made a reading and writing booklet and played a Math mosquito game! The kids had a blast and so did the teachers!
