The Thanksgiving traditional Parade at Ellis! 3rd grade did balloons and 2nd grade did puppets. The whole school sat in the hallways and cheered on the parade.









Today, Ms. Hasenstab’s class dove into the spooky tale of “The Legend of Sleepy Hollow” with a captivating read-aloud, then explored different seasonal cultural traditions through VR goggles in the STEAM room to experience the eerie elements of the story!
Mrs. Nelson’s class passed out cookies for students to have a treat at lunch.
They also passed out pie to staff to express how thankful we are for everything they do for our school!




On Friday, Art Club and IMSA went to the St. Louis Art Musium to see The Work of Art: The Federal Art Project, 1935-1943. After the tour students got to explore the museum!!






On Monday, Mrs. Nelson’s class put their restaurant etiquette and money skills to practice. Students had to pay for their meal and when they received the wrong amount of change in return they had to show Mrs. Nelson the correct amount. We practiced these skills all while having a delicious meal.

Art club entered the Belleville Gingerbread Contest this year! Our house will be on display downtown starting on Wednesday.

Friday, Book Club celebrated Mrs. Keck's birthday and finishing The Hunger Games. We had donuts and The Hunger Games party hats!
Mrs. James’ groups are continuing to read their way through the school year and completed another novel. 4th grade just finished How to Steal a Dog! We are so proud of your hard work and love of reading!
