Today, our 8th graders took a special walk down memory lane—literally! 🏫✨
Before heading off to high school, they strolled the halls of the elementary school where it all began. It was smiles, high-fives, and a few happy tears as they were greeted by younger students and former teachers who cheered them on every step of the way. 🥹💙
This tradition reminds us just how far they've come—and how bright their futures are. From learning to read to leading the way, they’ve grown into kind, confident, and courageous young people ready for the next adventure. 🚀

8th graders had a blast at Camp Williamson yesterday! From team-building games to nature hikes, laughter and memories filled the day. A perfect mix of fun, friendship, and adventure!
We spent our final day of coding club enjoying the beautiful weather while flying our drones. Can’t wait for more fun next year!

Today Mrs Barbeau’s class ate like butterflies with our “proboscis” to wrap up our butterfly study and wait for our butterflies to emerge. We learned why butterflies eat liquid nectar and cannot eat solid food.

Mrs. Keck’s class had a blast at the old court house doing a mock trial. Then we went on a river boat cruise on the Mississippi River. After that we explored the Gateway Arch.
It was a busy day but we had a lot of fun. Thank you to the chaperones and bus drivers who helped us make today the best it could possibly be.

Dear 8th Grade Families,
We’re excited to share that your student will be bringing home their six promotion tickets this Thursday, May 8th. Please remind your child to keep them in a safe place. Tickets will not be replaced if lost, so it’s important they don’t misplace them.
Promotion stoles/slashes will be handed out on the morning of Wednesday, May 14th during practice. As a reminder, students must be present at school on Wednesday, May 14th in order to participate in the promotion ceremony.

Monday, May 12- 8th Grade Only Dance (5:15-6:30 PM)
Tuesday, May 13 – 8th Grade Field Trip to Lake Williamson (8:15 AM-5:00PM)
Wednesday, May 14 – 8th Grade Last Day of School (11:15 AM dismissal)
Wednesday, May 14 – 8th Grade Promotion Ceremony (6:00 PM, Emge Jr. High Gymnasium)
Important Information for Promotion:
Tickets: All guests must have a ticket to enter the gym. Students will receive 6 tickets on Thursday.
Doors open at 5:15 p.m.: From 5:15 to 5:45 p.m., 8th graders will have time to take photos with family and friends.
Line-up: At 5:45 p.m., students will line up in the hallway, and the ceremony will begin promptly at 6:00 p.m.
Stoles/Sashes: If you purchased an 8th-grade sash, please ensure your student wears it to the ceremony. Students will receive their stole/sash on Wednesday during the morning practice.
Valedictorians and Class Speaker: Our class Valedictorians and Class Speaker will address the 8th-grade class during the promotion.
Students will be recognized by rows and will not be individually called to the stage.
Dress Code: Dressy casual attire is recommended. Please ensure your child’s clothing is school-appropriate.
Fees: All fees must be paid in full in order for your child to participate in the promotion ceremony.
