The 2016-17 School Year marks the second year of the Harmony Intermediate Center, which serves around 250 students in grades 4-6. Although Harmony Intermediate was just recognized by the Illinois State Board of Education in 2015, the origins of Harmony School date back almost 200 years ago! The Harmony School District dates back to 1828, making it one of the oldest school districts in St. Clair County.
At Harmony, we have continued the vision of our district to provide the best opportunities for our students to reach their fullest potential. This includes providing a curriculum rich in academics, character education, extracurricular opportunities, and technology. With the addition of nearly 80 more Chromebooks last year, our current student-to-computer ratio is around 2-1.
At Harmony Intermediate, we recognize that our success moving forward will not be dependent on the staff and teachers alone. Education is a two way street and requires the effort and cooperation of both home and school to achieve our fullest potential, so we thank you in advance for all that you do at home! We are excited for our second full year within Harmony-Emge Dist. 175 and are proud to serve the 4th through 6th grade students of Harmony Intermediate School.
