Welcome to Emge Jr. High School. We are a family of children, faculty and parents focused on maximizing every student’s life opportunities by providing a high quality education. We believe that to whom much is given, much is expected. Therefore, it is not enough for our children to get just a “textbook” education. We employ various character education curriculums to support our students’ social and emotional growth, with the expectation that each day our students will make the world a better place.
Our approach is simple; we focus on student discipline and a structured curriculum that is aligned to the Common Core Standards. As a staff, we challenge every student to give nothing less than their very best. This is what we expect of our own children. Thus, Emge students deserve the same high expectations.
To assist us with our mission of providing your student with a high-quality education, please consider the following suggestions:
- Talk with your child about their interests and dislikes.
- Listen to your students as they discuss their social/emotional needs.
- Know their friends and find out what they are doing with their unstructured times.
- Teach your students how to manage their time.
- Get to know the teacher and be involved with school activities.
- CHECK THEIR HOMEWORK! (They will have homework every night.)
I am but one member of an amazing family of children, faculty and parents. Together we can ensure your child has the opportunity to compete in this global-society. I believe that no matter the circumstances, if properly supported, every child can and will perform at the highest levels of education. I believe this is a new day in education and we must use new approaches to reach today’s student. I believe that education is our society’s greatest equalizer. I believe in Emge! Do you?
